Antarctica
Absolutely stunning film from Swedish filmmaker Kalle Ljung and co. Who've created this incredible short film made entirely from drone footage of Antarctica. They spent 16 days filming, capturing the unreal sense of isolation and stillness, as well as documenting magical moments with a family of whales. Beautiful.

A platypus walks into a bar - First Direct
A really nice new ad from JWT for First Direct where they recruit a CGI platypus named Barry from East London, a beat boxing bird and end on a live zebra.

This is done to attract a younger audience by promoting itself as 'the unexpected bank'. With slogans going out in the press to go with it sich as 'We're the zebra in a stable of horses'.




The making of is a really interesting watch too.

Land Rover : Facebook, 1 million fans
Very cute little film from Land Rover thanking their Facebook fans for reaching 1 million fans. Made with stop motion, pixilation, CG and digital montage, most of the background images were put together from diced up digital photos from their fans. Pretty cool!

as i mentioned on here before when ddb and philips launched there small film competition. sir ridley scott has picked a winner of the competition attached to ddb london's recent parallel lines ad campaign for philips, which invited viewers to make a short film in response to the project. keegan wilcox has come out on top with his film Porcelain Unicorn...
