old spice man replies
looks like the guys at wieden+kennedy have had a busy couple of days, answering questions posed to the old spice man over twitter, facebook and well known blogs and celebrities, sometimes within an hour of posing the question. this campaign makes me smile every time.

le tour de france
last weekend i watched the tour de france come into the paris for te end of the race. the atmosphere was fantastic, with hoards of people lining the roads chearing them all on. texas photographer and bicycle enthusiast brent humphreys has done an interesting project folllowing the face all the way.
african arenas
the enthusiasm and passion with which soccer is played in africa are inevitably transferred to the onlooker. thomas Hoeffgen experienced the same thing when he flew to nigeria in 1999 for a story on soccer. he became so interested in the subject that he spent the next several years taking unusual, direct photographs of players and spectators in nigeria, namibia, botswana, zambia, malawi, and south africa. hoeffgen’s images take us from the continent’s typical improvised sandlots with their two wooden posts forming a makeshift goal to the concrete stadiums in the city with their floodlights and grandstands.

the vinyl cube
the ‘vinyl cube‘ is a simple design object from tangible interaction that allows artists the freedom to paint or draw on the smooth vinyl surface – the interior then lights up in various colours thanks to a built in rechargeable battery unit.
